UPDATE: In October 2017 Rotary Club of Harlem began working with The Good Shepherd Orphanage in Chinhoyi, Zimbabwe.
Since then we have had a second visit to the orphanage by a RCH member (May, 2018.) Our club member, Chaka, took clothes and supplies, but also some funds. With those funds he took the forty children in the orphanage SHOPPING! For some of these kids this was the first time in their lives they could go in a shop, PICK out clothes or shoes, and pay for it with cash. They were overwhelmed!
Chaka also delivered to the children personal letters written to each of the children by RCH members.

Background: In October, 2017, the children at The Good Shepherd made the Rotary Club of Harlem this video as a ‘thank you’ for funds donated by our club to help cover school fees, blankets, utensils, school supplies, toiletries, and clothes. It’s WE who feel gratitude for being able to help make a difference in the lives of these young people.
